A Unique Taste of WA
The Kimberley on a plate. Cruise with us to be served a very special taste of Western Australia. It feels just like a private dinner party. In paradise.
Precious Pearl Fishing
We have proudly partnered with the oldest Australian owned and operated pearl farm, Cygnet Bay, to give you a firsthand experience of pearl harvesting.
Our cruise visits native pearl oyster beds where we pull up live shells. Expert crew demonstrate how to shuck the shells and you will have the opportunity to open and touch a pearl oyster shell, plus witness the harvest of a precious live pearl.
Our chef then prepares a delicacy of pearl meat for your indulgence. This rare marine bounty has a fresh and sweet taste, with a lovely texture. Pearl meat is the adductor muscle of the oyster, which allows the shell to open and close. Only very small quantities are harvested in Australia. It is a highly sought-after and expensive commodity, selling for around $200 per kilogram.

Cygnet Bay sustainably grows the purest and rarest pearls on earth. Growing deep in the pristine waters of the spectacular Kimberley coast, their Australian South Sea pearl oysters (known as ‘Pinctada Maxima’) are the largest in existence and produce the very finest ‘mother of pearl’.
Carefully cultured over many years, Cygnet Bay’s world-class pearls are over a thousand times rarer than diamonds! Aboard our cruise, you can admire these fascinating masterpieces of nature in a stunning jewellery collection on deck.
The following day, a complimentary coach trip will collect you from your accommodation to visit Cygnet Bay’s stunning exhibition gallery in Broome’s Chinatown, to witness an exclusive grading of the pearl we harvested together.
We went on this cruise and I recommend it highly. The whole crew who put it together have done an amazing job. The food, champagne and interaction with everyone was exceptional. The Broome pearl farming demonstration was great. Loved every minute of this afternoon.
